How should I handle timeouts and cancellation?
Recover without duplicating attempts or leaving a session active.
After a timeout
The SDK preview defaults to 120-second request timeouts and does not automatically retry requests. If the identity handle and session are still available, query progress to learn whether the backend accepted the evidence before deciding the next action.
Cancel the server session
Aborting HTTP only stops the local request. Cancel the backend session with a fresh request, coroutine or Task that is not already cancelled. Then remove temporary camera files and release the identity handle when the flow is finished.
Keep attempts consistent
Avoid blindly repeating POST requests; they may create another attempt or duplicate evidence. Follow the platform README and returned backend timing values. For the older video flow, use its short-arc session instead of an angle-circle session.
