Terms of Service

The terms for using FaceX Verify’s website, workspace and services.

Updated
01

Your agreement

These terms apply to your use of the FaceX Verify website, workspace and services. “FaceX”, “we” and “our” refer to FaceX Verify; “you” refers to the person or business using the service.

A person accepting service terms for a business must be authorized to do so. A written order, processing agreement or service agreement governs the specific scope it covers and takes priority over inconsistent general terms for that scope. Read our Privacy Policy alongside these terms.

02

Service scope

FaceX provides developer workspace tools and configured identity, document and face-verification integrations. Available methods, endpoints, limits and processing capabilities are described in the applicable documentation and your agreed service scope.

Verification outcomes are evidence for your assessment. Your business remains responsible for decisions such as onboarding, account access or rejection, and for its legal and regulatory obligations. Test mode and Test funds must not be presented as real completed checks or real money.

03

Accounts and access

Provide accurate account and business information and keep it current. Use your own authorized membership, protect your sign-in details and manage access for staff who act for your organization.

Live access is subject to business review, approval and the service configuration required for your integration. Do not bypass access controls or share an account to avoid a permission restriction.

04

Acceptable use

Run checks only for a lawful, disclosed purpose and with the authority and consent required for the data involved. Use the results for that purpose and protect them from unauthorized disclosure.

  • Do not submit stolen, leaked or unlawfully obtained identifiers or documents.
  • Do not use results for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, harassment or unrelated marketing.
  • Do not fabricate camera evidence, impersonate an applicant or misrepresent consent.
  • Do not evade request limits, compromise another workspace or interfere with the service.
  • Do not resell access or verification data unless your service agreement authorizes it.
05

Credentials and integration

Keep server API keys and provider secrets on your backend. Limit access to authorized staff and rotate or revoke exposed credentials promptly. Your business is responsible for its integration and for activity it authorizes through its workspace.

Follow the documented environment, timeout, cancellation and retry behavior. Repeating a submission may create another attempt; a local HTTP cancellation does not necessarily cancel a backend session.

06

Pricing and payments

FaceX pricing is provided through a tailored quote or written agreement. Confirm the selected services, currency, chargeable outcomes, applicable taxes, commitments and retry or refund treatment before using a billable service.

Configured wallet payments are reconciled against provider information before a credit is applied. Test balances have no monetary value. A service-credit balance is not a bank deposit or interest-bearing account.

Report a disputed payment or charge to support@facexverify.com with the relevant reference. Resolution, refunds and unused balances are subject to the applicable agreement and mandatory law.

07

Personal data

Your business is responsible for its verification purpose, lawful basis, privacy notices and required consents. The relevant processing agreement should set out instructions, security, providers, transfers, retention and assistance with individual requests.

Do not place applicant documents, biometric recordings or active credentials in a general support message. Use an agreed secure channel when additional sensitive information is needed.

08

Availability and changes

Service availability can depend on registry providers, model services, hosting and network access. An uptime commitment, response-time guarantee or service credit applies only where agreed in writing.

We may update services, documentation and controls for operational, legal or security reasons. Material changes to an agreed service are handled under its contract and notification provisions. Follow the current API documentation for integration requirements.

09

Suspension and closure

Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect personal data, resolve a security risk, meet a legal obligation or address a breach of the applicable agreement.

Contact support to request account or workspace closure. Stop using issued credentials and arrange any required data export or deletion under your agreement. Payment, legal and security records may remain subject to applicable retention obligations.

10

Rights and responsibility

FaceX branding, platform materials and proprietary service components remain subject to their applicable intellectual-property rights. SDK or other software licenses apply to the packages that carry them. You retain your rights in information you lawfully provide.

No verification result guarantees that every identity risk or fraud attempt will be detected. Assess outcomes with appropriate business controls. Liability, remedies and any agreed limitations are governed by your written agreement and applicable law; mandatory rights are not excluded by these terms.

11

Questions and disputes

Raise service questions or disputes with support@facexverify.com so the issue can be investigated. The contracting entity, governing law and dispute arrangements for a purchased service are identified in its written agreement.

Our contact addresses are Flat 4, Ulumbo Plaza, Gwarinpa, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria; and 1 Imperial Court, Exchange Street East, Liverpool, United Kingdom. The date on this page identifies the current terms.
