What is the difference between Test and Live?

Understand environment separation and why Live access needs approval.

Start in Test

Test and Live have separate API keys, customer and flow records, usage, verification activity and wallet balances. Test funds have no monetary value. Use Test while developing your integration.

Move to Live

Live access requires approval from a FaceX platform administrator, through compliance review or a direct admin grant.

Use matching credentials

A Test key remains a Test key. Use credentials and request settings that match the selected environment. See the environment reference for the deployed contract.
