How do retention preferences and deletion work?

Workspace retention preference

Image-reference retention is granted by a platform admin. Workspace Settings displays the granted policy: Delete immediately, 24 hours or Until deletion. Contact support to request a change. Confirm how the granted policy is applied by your verification service.

Verification flow cleanup

The SDK preview keeps its handles in host memory and instructs the host to delete temporary camera files. Its identity deletion endpoint belongs to the configured Python backend. Cancelling a session and deleting an identity flow are separate operations.

Confirm the applicable policy

Before collecting real identity evidence, confirm the storage locations, actual retention, deletion behavior and any provider obligations for your deployment. For an access or deletion question, contact support without attaching identity documents to the public form.
